Match-28:Royals Beat Kochi To End Losing Run

The Rajasthan Royals finally broke their losing run with an excellant eight-wicket win over Kochi Tuskers Kerala at Jaipur.

Winning the toss, Shane Warne elected to field first.Kochi managed to build up only a total of 109. Ravindra Jadeja scored 22 runs off 23 balls. Parthiv Patel scored 32 runs,hitting two boundaries. Shane Warne returned with three wickets.

Rajasthan didn’t have much problems in chasing 110,thanks to Dravid who smacked 44 off 37 balls with four fours and one six and Shane Watson who scored 49.

Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his birthday with a 37-run win of Mumbai over Deccan Chargers.

Chasing 173 for victory, Deccan had a bad start,as Sunny Sohal, Shikhar Dhawan and Cameron White got out cheaply.
Kumar Sangakkara, their captain made 34 runs off 28 balls with three fours.
Dhawan  made 25 runs.both were bowled by Malinga.Deccans could only manage to score 135 for eight in the 20 overs.

Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar’s side was asked to bat first.In the early morning on his birthday,Sachin got the shocking news of death of his guru “Sri Satya Sai Baba“ ,but still he provided an entertaining start to the innings,showing his proffesionalism and controlled personality.He put on 47 runs in only 5.1 overs with Davey Jacobs.Amit Mishra had grabbed the wickets of both Tendulkar and Ambati Rayudu, while Pragyan Ojha got Keiron Pollard for a duck.But then Rohit Sharma hammered a half-century,making an unbeaten 56 off 34 balls with five fours and three sixes.Symonds also smacked 44 not out from 33 balls.
