England-India thriller results in a tie

India and England thrilling ICC Cricket World Cup face off in Bangalore results in a tie,as both sides scoring 338 in a match.
Sachin Tendulkar scored a century while Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh added half-centuries to steer India to an giant total of 338.
England captain Andrew Strauss, whose 158 put England in a commanding position.

The match got off to a shaky start as Sehwag edged the first ball of the match just wide of Swann at slip. Sehwag went on to make valuable 35 in 26 balls with five fours.He got out to Tim Bresnan taken by Matthew Prior when an attempted a shot to third man.
Gambhir scored 51,having faced 61 balls and hit five fours before he was bowled by Swann as he missed a delivery trying to guide to third man.
The batting Power Play offered both Yuvraj and Mahendra Singh Dhoni the chance to free their arms.Yuvraj regained his form,hitting 58 in 50 balls with nine fours,before falling before pulling Yardy down of Ian Bell.
Dhoni fell one ball later to substitute fielder Luke Wright trying to hit Bresnan straight.He hit 31 in 25 balls.Some late hitting from Yusuf Pathan (14) and Virat Kohli (7) pushed India to 338.

England then matched India as Strauss and opening partner Kevin Pietersen (31 in 22 balls) raced to a partnership of 68 before Pietersen,was caught and bowled by Munaf Patel,who took the catch on the rebound.Jonathan Trott then made 16 before he was trapped in front by leg-spinner Chawla.
Strauss was then joined by Bell and Both players played fluently with shots coming all around the wicket.Both men were dropped - Strauss on 22 by Harbhajan SIngh and Bell on 68 by Kohli.Strauss reached his sixth ODI century in just 96 balls and Bell reached a half-century.
Then,England took the batting Power Play, they almost threw the game away. Bell slogged Zaheer Khan high into the air and was caught by Kohli.
Strauss was bowled by Zaheer on the very next ball.
Collingwood was bowled by the same bowler for one,as England lost three wickets in six balls.Harbhajan removed Matthew Prior, caught by substitute fielder Suresh Raina with another high catch for four.Michael Yardy fell to Patel,caught into the safe hands of Sehwag at short fine leg for 13.That put India back in a position from which they looked most likely to win the game.But Tim Bresnan, Graeme Swann and Ajmal Shahzad all hit sixes and the scores levelled at the end.Patel held his nerve and Swann could only manage a single from the final ball to bring to an end a wonderful match leaving both sides with a share of the points.
