The Kings XI Punjab registered a much-needed victory over Kochi Tuskers Kerala by six-wickets in Kochi. Dinesh Karthik hammered 69 runs in just 33 balls,smashing five maximums and seven boundaries to guide Punjab to a win with seven balls to spare.Shaun Marsh contributed with 42 in 30 balls.
Earlier,Mahela Jayawardene scored an excellent half-century to guide Kochi to 178 for seven.He hit eight fours and two sixes in his 76 off 52 balls.He was well supported by opening partner Brendon McCullum,who smacked 32 runs and Owais Shah, who hit 23 in 12 deliveries. Bipul Sharma picked up two wickets for Punjab.
