The Pune Warriors surprisingly beat the Mumbai Indians by 28 runs in their opening game of the Indian Premier League 2012. Pune made 129 with the help of Stephen Smith’s knock of 39 in 32 balls,including four fours.Robin Uthappa made a superb 36 in 33 balls.
In reply,Mumbai managed to score just 100 for nine.Dinesh Karthik (36) and James Franklin (32 in 42 balls) were the top scorers for Mumbai.
Ashok Dinda returned figures of four for 18 and Murali Kartik took two for 14.
