Mumbai Indians won the opening game of the Indian Premier League 2012 against the Chennai Super Kings by eight wickets.
The Chennai Super Kings were bowled out for 112 in 19.5 overs. Suresh Raina scored 36 in 26 balls, included one big straight six.Other batsmen could not contribute much with the bat.
Mumbai reached the target in just 16.5 overs,thanks to Richard Levi's swashbuckling 50 in 35 balls, including six fours and three sixes.
Tendulkar was retired hurt with a finger injury.He made 16 in 15 balls, including one four and one six to the cause.
Rayudu (18 not out) and James Franklin (24 not out) guided Mumbai to victory.
